I am currently studying for the CEH. I am patiently waiting for my recently ordered Alfa AWUS036H to arrive.
I have a question for all you fellow offensive penetration testers. What environment would you recommend that is legal, and cheap, preferably free, to test networking hacks?
To clarify, I would like to test Nmap commands, port scanning, HPing, Netcat, and even web server attacks.

I would strongly recommend you visit the VMWare website and you take a look at the free VMWare Player version 3.1. It allow you to run and create Virtual Machines.
Using Virtual machine would allow you to run Backtrack which has all of the tools you need plus it is working well with your new card as well. You can get a VM preinstalled with Backtrack at:
Definitely go the virtual route if your laptops can handle it. If not look to pickup cheap computers that people throw out or sell for real cheap on craigslist and other sites. To prcatice these tools you don't need fast machines to test against you just need some boxes and a hub/switch/router. That should get you started.
