Elsewhere Clement talks about walking around with multiple references.

I'm somewhat guilty, but I can justify myself Smile. My goal is the CISSP, so I have Shon Harris by my elbow. It's not my primary text, but every so often I want just a little more; sometime a bit more helps me understand the underlying concept and I can logic something out verses memorizing.

My first suggestion, if you can get to it (I know you can if you go through the US Federal Government) is a 50(?) hour presentation by Carnegie-Mellon.

Second choice is "Security+, Get Certified Get Ahead" by Darril Gibson.

I'm reading lots of posts (elsewhere) by folks who rave about the book, and I'm finding it an easy read.

Finally, because Rob D. (co-worker) used ExamCram as a source for questions for his CISSP, I assume they would do just as well targeting the SEC+ audience.

That's my .02 - Mike

As mentioned by Mike,

It is important to understand and NOT only to memorize questions.

There are many great books out there but you must take the time to understand what you read and if necessary consult other sources.

Best luck to all

Clement

Hello,

The Darril Gibson book is highly recommended on Amazon and on certification forums.
